“ The name says it all! The food is beautifully plated and absolutely delicious. I ordered the chicken biscuit sandwich and was pleasantly surprised with the flavor combinations. I didn't know I needed a chicken biscuit with pimento and a fried green tomato in my life but they nailed it and I'm hooked. Other plates enjoyed by my dining guests were the veggie omelet and banana foster french toast (again, stunning presentation). The grits with the veggie omelet had me wanting my own bowl and the bananas with the french toast were not only the perfect ripeness for the dish but also cooked perfectly. That paired with extra thick cut brioche and the vanilla bean rum sauce induced true bliss. When looking at the menu I thought pricing was a touch high but the food itself and the portions, which were large, made it a great value and I left more than pleased with the experience and am looking forward to going back soon during the week to try something from their weekday menu. ”

“ Came about 30 minutes after opening and was immediately sat, by the time I finished to leave I overheard other patrons saying there was an hour wait. So, the early bird definitely gets the worm here. All of the staff was so joyous and helpful, a pleasant experience in comparison to places where you can tell staff doesn't want to be there. Franklin, my server, was amazing!!! i-land boi, you can hear it in his beautiful accent. I just wish he had told me my eyes were bigger than my stomach when ordering because I was NOT prepared for the massive portion of food that touched my table lol. Ordered the French toast flight, expecting to get tiny squares/ 2 bite portions; I was so wrong! They brought out the biggest dangum plate of French toast I've ever witnessed. I still have 2 left over! I ordered the passion fruit lemonade and wasn't too pleased with it but hey, there's more than enough flavors to choose from next time. The 90s r&b was the perfect touch playing in the background as I did my happy dance while eating. Looking forward to making this spot a tradition! ”

“ Can’t deny the flavor here! I tried the following and here’s my rating on each one: vanilla bean waffle 5/5 (not dry or overcooked and so tasty), fried fish 4/5 (so delicious just more flour than meat), and fried chicken 5/5 (great quality and flavor but just a tiny bit salty). The ambiance is chill, even for a busy Saturday it wasn’t super loud and they had the R&B/Soul jams playing. I went solo so the wait was less than 10 minutes and the service was really good. I will say they seem to be understaffed or super busy. I only had water and they only serve it bottled and it’s $3.00 for the 16.9 fl oz. Note: you can only make reservations the day of for parties of 10 or less and it has to be in person. They do not have a rsvp system and do not account them via phone unless your part is 10+! ”

“ I don't have enough stars to rate the food. It was excellent and the portions are huge. We went for lunch and I have a whole meal left over for dinner. The smoke Mac and cheese were sooo good. If someone at your table gets fries, please dip a fry in the cheese sauce. You will thank me later. The Brussels sprouts were perfectly sauced and charred. I can't wait to eat them again later. I ordered the fish and grits. Instead of salmon, I had the fried Swai. The grits are loaded with flavor, onion, tomatoes and greens. The fish was fried just right and seasoned. It perfectly paired together with the grits. My friend had the fried chicken sandwich and it was huge. The chicken had a great crunch but was still very juicy inside. I see what the hype is about and I cannot wait to come back. I am going to dream about that food. ”

“ I had the pleasure of dining at Flavor Rich, and let me just say… the name fits perfectly! I ordered the Fish & Grits with Blackened Salmon, and it was absolutely worth every penny. •The grits were damn near perfect—smooth, creamy, and full of flavor. •The salmon was seasoned beautifully, cooked just right, and paired perfectly with the grits. •The portion was generous, and the presentation was upscale with a nice touch of elegance (yes, they even had a flower garnish!). The atmosphere inside is modern yet cozy, with fresh roses on the tables adding a classy vibe. Service was great, and even the drinks were refreshing and well presented. If you’re looking for a new spot in San Antonio that delivers on taste and experience, Flavor Rich is definitely it. I’ll be back for sure! ”

“ We dined in for breakfast here this morning. We ordered the Veggie Omelet with a side of grits and toast, a Simple Breakfast with eggs scrambled hard, bacon, grits, toast and apple juice. The food is excellent!!! Seasoned to perfection. We didn’t have to add anything (no salt and pepper) to our food. The grits were very good. This is the best omelet we’ve ever had with seasoned grilled veggies. We will definitely return again and try some of the other menu selections. We highly recommend that you visit this establishment and try their food. We saw other customers with their orders of chicken and waffles coming out of the kitchen and everything looked excellent. Great customer service! Very clean dining area and restroom. Don’t sleep on this restaurant, you won’t be disappointed! ”

“ SO....FINALLY had a chance to try Flavor Rich Restaurant and OMG EVERYTHING was delicious! YES, I was hungry lol BUT I like to go to restaurants and try a little bit of everything to give an honest review... The fish was well seasoned and had a nice crispy crunch. The smoked Mac n Cheese was perfect! Creamy and abundant. The potatoes were very flavorful and the coffee was delicious. They don't skimp on the portion sizes. From the time we walked in we were greeted and seated immediately. Service was fast and friendly and I think we found our new brunch spot not too far from the house too! We will definitely be back!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ”

“ 10/10 service, ambience and atmosphere. Breakfast Burger: 7.5/10- good, big burger. But, I've had this burger before elsewhere with more flavor. Chicken and waffles: 8/10- excellent presentation, waffles had good flavor, chicken had a beautiful looking, crunchy fry. But the chicken flavor, which should be the star of the show, lacked a punchy flavor. Overall, I could recommend this place for its atmosphere and its cocktail selection. But is it "Flavor Rich"? Maybe the other food options might have more depth of flavor. ”
